Yah like all festive days, this is also a regional holiday. So the "Masti time" for all the kids, boys, and girls. This day no school and college. Just get ready for the "fire play" of the evening. On the very morning people complete their daily work and just become engaged gathering the  "bunch of straws" (କୁଟା ଗଦା/ ଛଣ in odia term).In usual near the "Village temple" there are wide-spread cultivation fields. And this time no ongoing cultivation is there. So normally all thos e wide-spread fields left blank. On these days the first grown m angoes on mango tree are gifted to the lord as " Prasad/voga (an Odia term , which means to off er any food to the lord)".
